Their early maturity, climate adaptability, ease of maintenance and calving make them a valuable cross for any breed, especially Highlands. Their frame is larger than a Highland's but they are a very docile breed, excellent mothers with an abundant supply of milk for their calves. The Pinzgauer is a very old, Austrian breed. She has a wide, Pinzgauer rump, naturally thick with a moderate slope from hooks to pins. She is moderately framed, stocky with a broad level back and straight topline. She was shown this summer at several county fairs and the MO State Fair therefore, she is halter broke, leads, stands tied, is easy to load/unload and enjoys grooming including bathing and drying.
